A trail shoe for hot, wet, technical terrain — where boots overheat and water shoes fall apart. Built around a single 3D-printed TPU upper whose mesh shifts density across the foot, resolving the usual tradeoff between protection and breathability instead of splitting the difference.

About the Product
Given the prompt to design a climate adaptive shoe, my mind immediately went to when I took a trip to Hawaii and couldn't pick between a breathable shoe that gets wet once and then is soggy for the rest of the day and a waterproof shoe sufficating my feet making them sweaty and covered in calouses.
This trail shoe is for hot, humid, technical terrain — the kind of wet, rocky, muddy trail where boots overheat and water shoes give out. The whole design centers on one material system: a 3D-printed TPU mesh upper that solves the tradeoff between protection and breathability instead of compromising on either.
Printed in flexible TPU, the mesh varies its density across the foot — dense and structural at the toe and high-wear zones, open and airy across the top and sides. The result is an upper that shields against rock and root, drains and dries fast, and flexes naturally with the foot, all in a single printed piece.
Complementing the upper are flexible straps holding your feet in place while providing heel and ankle support.
